Meet the Team

Hi. I’m Stephanie

I’m a devoted mom to two energetic boys and a passionate advocate for faith-based parenting. Like many parents, I wanted my children to know Jesus—not just as a historical figure or someone they hear about in church, but as a real, loving friend and guide. I wanted them to look up to Him the same way they admire their favorite superheroes, and then it clicked—Jesus is the ultimate Superhero! But even better, because He’s real.

When I couldn’t find books or resources that showed Jesus in this light—someone exciting, relatable, and aspirational—I knew I had to create something myself. That’s what set me on this incredible journey of writing and discovering ways to bring faith to life for my boys and, hopefully, for other families too. Jesus is not just our example but also the ultimate source of calm and strength in the chaos of parenting.

Along the way, I’ve also developed an online course, Loving Discipline: Based on Your Child's Brain Development. This course came from months of eye-opening research into the science of helping children regulate their emotions and find calm. It blends cutting-edge brain science with a compassionate, loving approach, giving parents like me the tools to guide their kids with both grace and structure. I recently began a teacher aid position in my son's kindergarten class. Here, I have used some of the tools and techniques I have learned to help them find their calm and lead them toward their own solutions.

I’ve learned so much this past year, not just about helping children emotionally regulate but also about leaning on Jesus in my own parenting struggles—especially when it comes to whining, fighting, and all the chaos that comes with raising little ones. Jesus has been my calm, my guide, and my example, and I’m so excited to share what I’ve discovered with you. Let’s help our children thrive emotionally, spiritually, and relationally together!

Hi, I’m Amanda

I’’m a Christian mom committed to my faith, my husband and our three kids. Also, I homeschool.

My sister Stephanie and I had just started collaborating on a digital design shop when the idea of “My Favorite Superhero” sprang up. Immediately we realized our calling and most certainly its value to our children as well as our mental health. I know the importance of having a good foundation in Christ our Lord.

I was grateful to have been introduced to Jesus at an early age, even if I didn't understand the true depth of His sacrifice. I certainly lost my way in my early teenage years, but I was able to reconnect with a new church where I was baptized again. Then I wandered away into the college culture, when I should have looked to Him the most during those difficult days. It wasn't until I met my husband that I found renewal and His welcoming open arms!

Having that foundation, that relationship with Jesus, knowing that even if I stray, I can come back, makes all the difference in the world. I want my children and all God’s children to have that knowledge, too.

I’ve been an artist since I could hold a pencil in my hand. I excelled in it throughout my formative years and found a passion for the arts in technical theater. It allowed me to explore set design, painting, costume, props, and even stage management. More recently I've designed logos for film crews and businesses.

This is my first published work.  I have been happily married for 17 years and we have 3 children together. We currently live in the country outside Atlanta.
